A rugged 32-mile coastal wilderness route from Shi Shi Beach to Rialto Beach. The route crosses rocky beaches, headlands, and the Ozette River, with numerous sections requiring careful tide planning.
The North Coast Route can be hiked in either direction. The default direction is Southbound to Northbound, but you can toggle the route direction in the Route Planner tab to see timing information for both directions.
Wilderness camping permits required. Reserve at recreation.gov and select North Coast as the starting area.
Bear canisters required for all food storage.
May through September for best weather and tide conditions.
